Kim Bo-Young is one of South Korea’s most active and influential science fiction authors. Her works have immensely inspired younger generation of the Korean SF writers since 2000s. She received in the first round of the Korean Science & Technology Creative Writing Awards for her first novella, and she has won the annual South Korean SF Award the annual South Korean SF novel twice. She already has a number of works published in English translation in the United States, including a short story “An Evolutionary Myth,” and a novella “How Alike Are We,” and the two story collections I’m Waiting For You (HarperVoyager) and On the Origin of Species and Other Stories (Kaya Press) will be published in 2021 as well. She lives in Gangwon Province, South Korea, with her family.
